Melinda Lombardino

Mrs.
Lombardino is a graduate of Centenary College in
Louisiana. She served on the music staff of
First United Methodist Church in Huntsville for
over 20 years. She has taught private voice as
well as elementary music and middle school
choral music. Mrs. Lombardino serves on the
board of Independent Musical Productions, Inc.
She has appeared on stage in Into the Woods,
Ragtime, Secret Garden, Sound of Music and Fame.
She was the assistant director for Huntsville
Community Chorus productions of Grease and West
Side Story. She has understudied for Rebecca
Luker with Ars Nova Productions. Mrs. Lombardino
is also faculty sponsor of Lee Lyric Theatre,
the musical theatre division of the magnet
program. Both of her children are graduates of
Lee High School and are enrolled in the musical
theater program at Belmont University.
Charles (Chuck) Mathews

Chuck Mathews, instructor of the Photography/Video Magnet Program, is a practicing artist. He has extensive experience in many large and small photographic and video projects and has had many gallery showings and national exhibits since the beginning of his career in 1974. He is experienced in both the artistic and the technical sides of photography and videography. Mr. Mathews spent several years in the corporate world doing graphics and publications. He worked as a NASA graphics contractor before going into teaching. During that period he had extensive experience using publication software, which has become part of the curriculum in the magnet program. Mr. Mathews received a Fulbright Scholarship to study life and culture in Turkey. He holds a BA in Art and a Masters degree in Art Education.
Barry Petty
Vocal Performance

Mr.
Petty is the associate instructor of the Vocal
Magnet Program and the Director of Choral
Activities at Lee High School, where he conducts
the award winning Men’s Chorale, Women’s
Chorale, Male Consort, Trebleaires, and Concert
Choir, while assisting and accompanying the
Trouveres Show choir. Mr. Petty also was honored
to be selected as the Alabama All State Show
Choir Director for 2004. Mr. Petty also serves
as the Musical Director for the musical theatre
productions produced by the Lee Lyric Theatre.
He is very active in community theatre, serving
as Musical Director/Rehearsal
Accompanist/Conductor and has won numerous
community theatre awards for his work. Mr. Petty
is proud to be a graduate of Lee High School,
and also holds B.S. and M.A. degrees from the
University of Alabama. He has served as
President of the Huntsville Choral Director’s
Association and is a member of the Alabama Vocal
Association, Music Educators National
Conference, American Choral Director’s
Association, and the Voice Care Network.

Ms. Sisson is a graduate of Bob Jones High School and received her degree in English from Athens State University and has a minor in education. She is an experienced writer and actress and is a member of Sigma Tau Delta English Honorary Society. Ms. Sisson’s input into the Video/Broadcast Journalism program will be in script writing and editing.
